About This Hackathon
The Smart City Hackathon challenges participants to design tech-driven solutions for urban challenges including traffic management, waste reduction, public safety, and citizen engagement. Work with real open city datasets and IoT infrastructure to prototype solutions that local governments can actually deploy and scale.

Prize Breakdown
$9,000 for 1st, $5,000 for 2nd, $2,500 for 3rd, $1,500 for most deployable solution
Rules & Guidelines
Projects must use at least one real city open dataset. Solutions must be scalable and cost-effective for municipal budgets. Teams must present a deployment and cost plan. No surveillance solutions that violate civil liberties.
